State Transportation Advocacy

A new network from T4America

State-focused network supports efforts to pass transportation legislation at the state level

With funding battles perpetually going on inside state legislatures, Transportation for America’s network supports state efforts to fulfill their visions for economic prosperity.

In November 2014 we brought together over 100 people representing 30 states and D.C. to Denver, Colorado for the first Capital Ideas, a strategy conference focused on sharing lessons learned from veterans, and equipping other advocates to make things happen at the state level in 2015 and beyond. And two years later, in November 2016, we brought more than 200 people to Sacramento for an expanded Capital Ideas II.

To support the ongoing work of these tireless state advocates, we developed a new network to build on the invaluable knowledge shared at Capital Ideas and support other efforts to successfully pass state legislation to raise transportation funding while improving accountability for spending it, launching it in 2014.
